ADVANCED HOUSING BENEFIT

This course is being co-tutored with Chris Smith of HBhelp. This one day training course is for those who already have a good understanding of the HB scheme but want to feel more confident about stating what the law says when negotiating with the local authority. Learn to find and read HB regulations and how to understand and interpret them.

This course will consider:

* structure of HB law
* How to find, read and understand HB regulations
* How to set out your interpretation of the rules for reviews and appeals
* Working mainly with regulation 7 which covers
-notice period
-overlap
-absence
- occupation of home
* course is designed to be applied to all HB rules
